Sea nymphs -nereids and mermaids
Sea nymphs were minor godesses or spirits in greek mythology. They preseded over natural phenomena and responsible for their domain in the natural world such as forests, rivers, springs, meadows, mountains and seas.
The legend of the mermaids come from the sea nymphs although nereids are often depicted with legs. They are unworldly beautiful and mezmerising, but my fascination lies within their connection to the sea.
